The Durrington Festival 2009 will be from the 6th to the 14th June 2009 with ‘Durrington’s Big Day’ with the Village Fayre, Carnival and Evening Concert on Saturday 13th June 2009.

Carnival Princess 2007 Samantha Wood The finals of the Durrington Festival Carnival Princess were held at Durrington Community Centre on Sunday 3rd June 2007. We had six finalists who took to the stage accompanied by music and lights compared by our own committee member Mark Roberts. The stage looked wonderful, decorated with balloons kindly supplied by local Durrington business ‘Make it Special Balloons’ from the Durrington Post Office at145 Salvington Road to whom we are very grateful. The six finalists were all great, and were judged purely on what they thought about Durrington and it was so wonderful to see six young ladies with such a positive outlook on the area they live in. The judge’s decision was extremely difficult but after much deliberation the results were as follows

All three will be riding in an open topped car (kindly supplied by West Sussex Motors) in the Carnival Procession next Saturday 9th June whilst the other three finalists have also been invited to walk in the procession. |
